The newly-named Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences has consolidated the University of Melbourne’s strengths in food production teaching and research.

The Australian Government’s Department of Agriculture has awarded MSLE’s Megan Verdon with the 2014 Science and Innovation Award in the pork category, which is supported by Australian Pork Limited.

AJ is currently studying the Bachelor of Agriculture majoring in Sustainable Production. As a student with great potential, he was awarded three scholarships.

Over the coming months, an expanded Faculty of Science will strengthen our research and teaching programs.

Veterinarians wanting to expand their knowledge and skills can access a wide variety of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs on offer in 2014.
